Today I want to talk to you about a theme that is very close to hearthow can we make our community more inclusive.
You don't need great gestures or special roles: sometimes it only takes small moments attention, kind words or concrete actions to make the difference in someone's life.
How can I contribute concretely toinclusion in my community?
L’inclusion born simple gestures, but sincere. Do not need to be of the institutions or have great resources: each of us can do something every day.
Here's what I try to do in my life and that I recommend:
1. Listening to people
Often those who live a disability or other difficulty not looking for compassionbut simply someone who listen. Learn to listen without judge it is the first step to build genuine relationships and inclusive.
2. I pay attention to the words you use
The language it is very powerful. I always try to put the the person at the centre: I say “person with disability” instead of “disabled”, because the words count really.
3. I participate and I do involve
I participate in events, meetings or initiatives speaking of rights and inclusion. Also share the correct information on your social help raise awareness the people around us.
4. Creo accessible spaces
If I organize something or help a project, I always think how to make it accessible: physically, digitally meaningful and communicatively. Everyone should be able to participate without barriers.
5. Educo with the example
Show more youngwith my daily behavior, which with respect, opening and solidarity are not empty words, but concrete actions.
Inclusion means recognizes the value each person and do so that no one feels excluded. Even a small gestor, repeated every day, it can create a community more cozy and right for all.
