The principle of equal opportunities means to guarantee every person the same chance of access to work and professional growth. This is not to give everyone the same thing, but to put everyone in the conditions to compete at the the same weaponsby breaking down the barriers create inequalities.
Disability and employment: what's the data
Yesterday
According to theISTAT in 2009, only 29.9 % of the people with serious limitations (15-64 years) was busy. If you added those looking for work, it came down to 43.7 %.
Today
In 2022, the employment rate rose to 33.5 %, but remains very far from the national average of 60.2 %.
If you include people in search of work, the figure rises to 52.2%, a slight improvement compared to the past, but still insufficient.

- To The South, less resources and more structural deficiencies, with locations often only formal.
